Connect Outlook with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Financials

Switching back and forth from email to your ERP system can be an annoying and time consuming task. Depending on the set-up of your systems, it may also involve switching servers. One of the great features in Microsoft Dynamics 365 is the ability to have your financial and Outlook information synchronized, so that you can perform a number of tasks right from your Inbox.
For instance, if you receive an email from someone that is not one of your current Dynamics 365 financials contacts, you can quickly and easily add the contact directly from Outlook. You can associate the contact with a company, whether it be an existing company or creating a whole new company. Once the contact has been created, you can turn the contact into a customer or vendor, all without leaving Outlook.
You can generate a sales quote from Outlook with most of the information pre-populated. You then can email the quote to the customer directly. You can also do other critical tasks, such as check Inventory and view customer aging balances.
