Intellitec Solutions is going GREEN!!
At Intellitec Solutions, we strive to create and foster long term relationships. That includes a relationship with our environment and our surroundings. With that in mind, we have launched a number of green initiatives to reduce our waste and consumption. Among other things, we have:
- Begun a recycling program for trash and paper. Every desk and work station has a specific container for recyclables. This has reduced trash going to the landfill by 40%
- Contracted with a Green Cleaning Service to ensure that our offices are cleaned with environmentally friendly products
- Encouraged our clients to authorize us to send our invoices to them electronically instead of printing and mailing them
- Installed programmable digital thermostats with nighttime and weekend setbacks to reduce energy consumption
- Utilized virtualization and other technology to consolidate our servers, thus reducing the amount of energy needed to power and cool them.
- Set a firm wide policy to hibernate PC’s when not in use
- Enacted a work from home policy to cut down on employees fuel consumption
- Utilized remote connectivity tools to allow our consultants to access clients sites for support, thereby reducing travel to and from client sites
- Installed native and drought resistant landscaping to eliminate the need to water
